Spanish Courses in Malaga

Wieder zwei Wochen Spanisch im Instituto Picasso und wieder war es eine sehr bereichernde Zeit. Der Grammatikunterricht war hervorragend. Es wurde sehr gut an Beispielen erklärt und intensiv geübt. Es war zu merken, dass die Lehrkraft viel Erfahrung hat. Neben pädagogischer Kompetenz hatte sie zudem einen schönen Sinn für Humor. Die Stunden gingen wahnsinnig schnell vorbei. Die Lehrkräfte, die den Konversationsteil übernommen hatten, haben es sehr gut geschafft uns zum Reden zu bringen. Die Sorge sich zu blamieren war völlig unbegründet. Einfach klasse. Über die spanische Kultur haben wir so ganz nebenbei auch noch was gelernt. Ich werde wohl noch öfter kommen.

Une excellente expérience pour un cours d'espagnol intensif. Je suis venu pour une semaine, j'ai prolongé mon cursus d'une autre semaine et j'aurais bien aimé rester plus longtemps mais la reprise des cours à l'institut Cervantès de Marrakech est prévue pour ce lundi. Une équipe pédagogique au top. J'ai beaucoup appris auprès d'eux. Une administration très aimable et dynamique. Cet institut réservé aux étrangers voulant apprendre l'espagnol offre des sessions hebdomadaires à partir de chaque lundi et avec une grande flexibilité. Le plus c'est qu'elle propose aussi des hébergements aux étudiants et qui se trouvent à 5 minutes de l'institut dans la cité historique de Malaga. Pendant la semaine et le weekend, elle propose également de nombreuses activités. Elle est fréquentée par des personnes de tout âge et du monde entier. Je recommande l'institut Picasso de Málaga pour des cours d'espagnol.

I agonised over which school to choose for studying Spanish in Malaga, and am so glad I went for Instituto Picasso: The teachers are amazing, making even irregular verbs in subjunctive fun! The atmosphere is friendly and professional and they offer an optional after- school programme of cultural outings and other fun events. Also: the location is perfect, so central and vibrant. I can´t wait to go back for another week of studying there. (PS: I did not try their accomodation, but have heard very nice thing about the host- family option.)

Die Schule befindet sich an der Plaza de Merced gleich neben der wunderschönen autofreien Altstadt. Ich habe in lediglich drei Wochen dank dem supermethodischen und klaren Unterricht von Carmen die 4 Vergangenheitsformen, inkl. entsprechender Anwendung, den Konditional und die indirekte Redeform gelernt. Auch danke ich Gema für den lebendigen Konversationsunterricht, wo sie viele Fragen stellt, damit du dich ausdrückst, sie dich bei Fehlern auch gleich korrigiert. Die eine Konversationsstunde bei Elena war auch sehr methodisch und reichvoll (Sätze schriftlich auch nachgetragen etc.). Ich hätte es mit der Schulwahl nicht besser treffen können und die diversen Lehrerinnen, welche ich antraf (Unterrichtsaufteilung) sind super freundlich.

Excellent - I highly recommend this school. Great teachers and atmosphere, super organising team who arranged very good accommodation and offers a variety of interesting excursions for us students. These are international with various ages in one class (worked really well) I felt right at home and will come back next winter. I did level A2/A2+ in 4 weeks (01-02/2026) and can now speak and understand spanish quite well even if its still bumpy and I have lots more to learn 🙂

Antes de nuestra estancia en Málaga ya teníamos contacto por email con Doña Ana de la oficina. Durante una visita al establecimiento Doña Ana nos explicó personalmente las ofertas posibles. Como mi es esposa y yo ya tenemos 80 años, decidimos inscribirnos en un curso individual. Doña Ana nos transmitió a la profesora Mercedes como nuestra entrenadora. ¡Fue un golpe de suerte para nosotros! Desde la primera hora nos entendimos muy bien y muy rápidamente tuvimos la sensación de que nos conocíamos desde hace mucho tiempo. Doña Mercedes es una excelente oyente. Puede captar rápidamente el pensamiento de sus alumnos. Así que pronto tuvimos conversaciones interesantes. Nunca nos quedamos sin temas de conversación, hablamos sobre todo lo actual. Es decir, sobre los acontecimientos mundiales actuales, los problemas económicos y sociales, las perspectivas de futuro de la generación más joven, etc. Doña Mercedes respondió a nuestros problemas gramaticales con gran destreza, explicando muy claramente nuestros errores. Además, había ejercicios del libro del instituto. ¡Damos las gracias a la profesora Mercedes! y ¡felicitamos a todos los que tienen la suerte de ser enseñado por ella!

I studied here for two months in 2021 and had a wonderful experience. The teachers are very good and invested in helping their students learn. I chose this school because it's in the city center and close to everything. Would highly recommend coming here to learn Spanish! Would recommend getting your own accommodation. Apartments provided by the school are in a good location but very dated (mattress was unacceptable) and not clean.
